This introductory workshop offers practical hands-on training to prepare you for a career as a production assistant on a movie set. Explore responsibilities, other positions and hierarchy, walkie-talkie and set etiquette and lingo, call sheet and sides creation, production paperwork, resume writing and next steps.
Trainees will be able to provide clerical and administrative duties to production departments such as understanding call sheets, organizing travel to locations, making copies of scripts, maintaining schedules, and assist and coordinate with all key departments on a TV or motion picture set.

Meet the Instructor
Joe Sorzano has a Bachelor of Science in film from Full Sail University and has been working as an Assistant Director in the industry for the past 10 years. Starting as a PA, as most do, he worked his way up to 1st and 2nd ADing projects ranging from local commercials for the Cavs to feature films with budgets in excess of 40 million dollars. He’s excited to continue the education of further generations of filmmakers while he continues to pursue his passions of producing and voice acting.
